Dog Breed: Terrier (medium coat). Meet Lolli! This sassy budding senior was given away after her owner passed away and the family didn’t want to keep her. It's heartbreaking how disposable dogs can be to some people, but we're grateful for the chance to help this sweet girl find the loving forever home she truly deserves. Lolli is well-behaved, housebroken, and knows basic commands. She isn’t destructive and waits to be invited before getting on the furniture, where she is content to snuggle and watch TV. She is an excellent passenger in the car and is always excited to take a ride anywhere. Her favorite activity is playing with her toys, which she often initiates on her own. In her current foster home, she hasn’t been crated (which she isn’t a fan of) without any issues. Lolli is a social pup who enjoys meeting new people. She is gentle with children and has lived successfully with another dog. She does have some separation anxiety in new environments, but that has been waning as she has settled into her current foster home. She would most enjoy an environment with people present throughout the day. However, she can be trusted to be left alone without crating and waits patiently by the door for her people to come back home. Lolli walks well on leash without pulling, but she can be leash-reactive when encountering some dogs out on walks. While over time she has warmed up to several familiar canine faces in the neighborhood, she would do best in an environment that is not high-traffic. Overall, she has a laid-back energy level and would do well either as an only dog or with another dog who shares her easygoing vibe. This adorable scruffy girl’s best days are still ahead.
