Dog Breed: Husky / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Don't forget!! We are currently open by appointment only. This is to control the traffic in the building at one time. If you would like to look at the cats/dogs for adoption, or if you need to relinquish or to do any other business, please message our FB page or call us at 304-267-8389 to schedule an appointment. If you see a specific pet for adoption on our FB page we can always set up a specific meet and greet for that as well. Ozzie needs your help! Ozzie is a Husky Shepherd mix. He's only 1 year old and is neutered and vaccinated. He needs a specific home and we know its going to be a hard find. With shares, maybe Ozzie will get lucky. He needs a home where he will be the only pet. He does not like other animals. We do not know why, or what happened in his past. He also needs a home without kids. Some positive things to know about him. These are things we have learned about him since he's been here at the shelter. Ozzie loves toys and loves to play fetch. He's an active boy. He walks well on a leash and does know basic commands. He is crate trained but has severe separation anxiety when alone. Ozzie loves when we go into his kennel and sit with him. Ozzie needs basic training. Someone that is familiar with helping a big boy learn. Adoption fee... $175, cash or credit card, includes spay/neuter, first shots and microchip.. If you already have a dog, bring them in with you for a 'meet and greet'. Mon.-Sat. 10-4 We understand not everyone can adopt a pet. Some homes are full, some homes do not allow certain pets and some have lifestyles that can't handle a pet right now. You can still help. Sharing pictures on FB, volunteering, or just coming in and sponsoring part of the adoption fee for when the pet is adopted. This helps a lot. No amount is too small to donate towards the adoption fee. If you would like to help sponsor, speak to one of the staff. Especially the cats and kittens need help (since we usually have so many!)
