I do not specialize in Rottweilers but I love them and rescue lots of them and this little girl has my heart. Meet MEADOW, 60 pounds and 10 months old and as sweet as sugar. She started off thin and I suspect she will get close to 80 pounds in the next 6 months. She has a docked tail and loves belly rubs. She will instantly fall on her back for a belly rub. MEADOW is a soft hearted and soft behaving beautiful girl that gets along with everyone. Her play buddies are big and small. She loves to just be a puppy, running zoomies, playing with toys, cuddling and especially getting snacks. She takes a bath good and walks well on a leash. She would love a home with a pet playmate. MEADOW is easy to train and completely crate and house trained but not ready to be left alone as she is a puppy. I do not have any cats and not sure how she would do around them. I have plenty of pictures of her but will try to get a video of her. If you are interested in adopting MEADOW, please submit an application on the website below. Each dog comes spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls. Overview:
The Rottweiler is a powerful and intelligent breed, originating in Germany where they were primarily used to drive cattle and guard property. Physically, they are robust dogs, instantly recognizable by their medium-large size, strong build, and striking black coat with distinct tan markings, particularly on the muzzle, chest, and legs. Their temperament, when properly socialized and trained, is one of unwavering loyalty and confidence; they are known for being calm and courageous, making them excellent guardians. While generally good with children within their own family, their protective instincts mean they require supervision with strangers. Due to their size and need for regular exercise and mental stimulation, Rottweilers are generally not ideal for apartment living and thrive in homes with secure yards. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions, necessitating responsible breeding practices and regular veterinary check-ups.
