Description
Dog Breed: Pointer / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. *Name: Sally *Age: 3.5 years old *Current Weight: 45 lbs *Adoption fee: $300 Meet Sally! Sally is a beautiful female pointer mix who is looking for her forever home! She’s a sweet and affectionate girl who loves nothing more than cuddling up with her humans. One of Sally’s favorite things to do is play with other dogs—and she absolutely lights up when she’s having fun with her furry friends! Sally is bonded to her best friend, her sweet and shy male companion Nicky. They find comfort and confidence in each other, and because of their special bond, they are looking for a home together where they can continue to thrive side by side. Sally’s story is one of resilience. She was shot with a BB gun that became lodged in her spine, but after treatment, she has recovered most of her hind leg use. She walks with straight legs, which just adds to her uniqueness—and she can even go up and down stairs! Despite everything she’s been through, Sally remains an active, happy girl who loves to play and explore her surroundings. Sally will need a patient and loving family who can provide her with the care and support she deserves. In return, she’ll give endless love, companionship, and joy. She is truly a special pup, and any home lucky enough to adopt Sally (and Nicky!) will be gaining two incredible souls. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at snarrnortheast/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at snarrnortheast/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Lab-Pointer, a charming crossbreed of the Labrador Retriever and Pointer, originated from the desire to combine the best qualities of both parent breeds. Physically, they are typically medium to large dogs, showcasing a athletic build, often with a short, dense coat in various colors like black, yellow, chocolate, or liver, and sometimes the distinctive Pointer markings. Their temperament is generally a delightful blend: intelligent, loyal, and eager to please like the Lab, combined with the Pointer's alert and energetic nature. This makes them highly trainable, though they do require consistent exercise and mental stimulation to prevent boredom. While affectionate and good with children, their energy levels mean they are best suited for active families with a yard, rather than small apartments. Prospective owners should be aware of potential health concerns inherited from either parent, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain cancers, making responsible breeding and regular vet check-ups crucial for their well-being.
