Dog Breed: Rat Terrier (short coat). Sweet Sybil is a darling old lady who needs a soft place to land in her golden years! Sybil is 14 years-old, about 14 lbs., and was adopted 10 years ago but ended up back to New Rattitude after her adopter became too ill to care for her. She is well-behaved and used to life at home as a loving pet. She is house-trained and she gets along well with other dogs, but would be good as a low-maintenance single dog too. Sybil is a bit shy of some people, but eventually warms up to anyone who is patient and kind -- cheese helps as well! Sybil is an adorable and kind-hearted girl and would love to have a quiet, caring home. She hasn't been around kids or cats, but she would likely do well with polite and respectful children and dog-savvy cats. Known for their energetic and inquisitive nature, Rat Terriers are remarkably adaptable and affectionate, making them excellent companions for active individuals or families. While their boundless energy necessitates regular exercise and mental stimulation, they can thrive in apartments provided their needs are met. Generally a healthy breed, they have a lifespan of 12-18 years, though some may be prone to patellar luxation or Legg-Calve-Perthes disease.
