Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Calvin is the sweetest goober you will ever meet! Calvin has finished his heartworm treatments and tested negative! He is currently resting comfortably with his foster family and will be on limited exercise for 3 months but that’s not stopping him from finding his forever home. Calvin is current on all vaccinations, housebroken, crate trained, good with kids, cats and dogs! His neuter is scheduled! Because he is resting and recovering from heartworm disease, he has been kept apart from other dogs in the home, but since finishing his treatment he was allowed to meet Oreo and they did great! He loves to play with his toys and has not shown any food or toy aggression, but he does like to eat alone. We are still now taking applications and looking for the perfect hime for this sweet boy!

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
