Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). *Active and playful *Sweet and affectionate *Smart and treat-motivated Spudz is an estimated 2 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. He's a fun-loving guy who is always ready for an adventure, whether it's a long walk, a game with his favorite toys, or just spending time with his people. He's a smart pup who loves treats and is eager to learn. Spudz already knows how to sit and even offers his paw when he's hoping for a reward. His excitement can get the best of him when it's time for a walk, but it's all because he can't wait to get outside and explore. After he's had a chance to burn off some energy, Spudz's softer side shines through. He's incredibly sweet, loves to cuddle, and quickly bonds with the people around him. Once he gets to know you, he'll happily stick by your side and soak up all the attention he can get. If you're looking for an active companion who's just as happy hiking a trail as he is relaxing on the couch afterward, Spudz might be the perfect match for you.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
