Kind, caring, house, potty and crate trained, loves everyone, well-mannered, good natured, non-barker and just checks every box the right way. SKIP is fantastic!!! He would make the perfect companion for another pet or a human, loves kids. Sorry I do not have a cat so I do not know how he would get along with them. The pictures of him are not so great and I will work on getting better ones very soon. SKIP is not the biggest Rottweilers at 48 pounds and 3 years old and he has a unique look with some white in his chest, his tail is docked. His temperament and behavior stands way above a lot of Rottweilers that I have met and I am a big Rottweiler lover. I love this guy and you couldn't ask for a better pet. SKIP was found at a popular burger joint at the door greeting everyone as they came in! He was polite, non-threatening and happy. I cannot imagine why someone would give this guy up. He is a bit underweight and he loves to eat. Easy to train with treats. Each dog comes spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls. Overview:
The Rottweiler is a powerful and intelligent breed, originating in Germany where they were primarily used to drive cattle and guard property. Physically, they are robust dogs, instantly recognizable by their medium-large size, strong build, and striking black coat with distinct tan markings, particularly on the muzzle, chest, and legs. Their temperament, when properly socialized and trained, is one of unwavering loyalty and confidence; they are known for being calm and courageous, making them excellent guardians. While generally good with children within their own family, their protective instincts mean they require supervision with strangers. Due to their size and need for regular exercise and mental stimulation, Rottweilers are generally not ideal for apartment living and thrive in homes with secure yards. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions, necessitating responsible breeding practices and regular veterinary check-ups.
