He was rescued from a kill shelter in South Korea, where his future was uncertain — but today, Buttons is safe and ready for a fresh start filled with love and care. At five years old, Buttons is in a wonderful stage of life. He enjoys calm environments, cozy spaces, and being close to his people. He has a sweet, easygoing nature and is happiest simply knowing he’s safe and loved. ✨ Buttons is looking for a patient, loving foster or forever home where he can truly settle in and feel secure. With kindness and consistency, he will become a loyal and affectionate companion. Adoption Information Buttons’ adoption fee is $1,595, a non-refundable donation that helps support ongoing rescue efforts. It includes: • Neuter • Vaccinations • Microchip • Boarding and daily care • Health certificate • Transport to Seattle ✈️ A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you may bring your own or purchase one from us. The Shih Tzu, affectionately known as the "lion dog," boasts an ancient and regal lineage, originating from the Tibetan plateau and further refined in imperial China. These charming canines are easily recognized by their striking appearance: a small, sturdy build, a distinctive undershot jaw, and a long, flowing double coat that often requires regular grooming to prevent matting. Temperamentally, Shih Tzus are renowned for being affectionate, outgoing, and playful companions, making them wonderfully suitable for a variety of households. Their adaptable and generally good-natured disposition means they often thrive in families with children and are particularly well-suited for apartment living due to their modest exercise requirements.
