Foster location: Green Bay Application & Website: .ourpackanimalrescue/adoption.html Bio: Sweet Sadie spent a year in a Texas foster home after being rescued from deplorable conditions. She spent the first couple years of her life on a hoarding property with over 70 dogs! It has taken Sadie ample time to come out of her shell, and she still has a long way to go, but a dedicated home will help her live her best life. Sadie is fostered with several other dogs, and has spent time with cats. She pays the kitties no mind. She is very jumpy as far as loud noises, and does still hide at times. Current nooks and crannies of preference include the guest bathroom or pantry in her foster home. What helps Sadie come out of her shell? Letting her sleep in your bed. It has made a world of difference! She does also enjoy hanging with the humans on the couch, even when company is over. Sadie requires a fully fenced yard, no exceptions. While she is considered a flight risk- this is not because she actively tries to elope. She is still very frightened of walking too far or doing her business on leash. Her foster family continues to work on this, but the gal needs what she needs. Though new things can be scary for Sadie, she does cooperate. She lets her humans pick her up, trim her nails, etc without growling or nipping. Sadie gets very excited for meal time, but can still be shy when taking treats. She has played with other dogs some, but isn’t much for toys. House training is a continued work in progress. She often has to be coaxed outdoors, but enjoys her time in the yard once there. While another dog would help her learn the routine of a new home, she would also do just fine as a single dog with an adopter who has had dogs before, especially if experienced with the shyer set. Sadie isn’t shy about barking at sights seen outdoors such as letter carriers, squirrels, etc and the “window channel” is a favorite pass time. Applying for her is not recommended if you share a wall with neighbors. This special girl has waited so long, but we know it will be worth it when her special home comes along! Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved.
