Description
Dog Breed: Chow Chow (long coat). Wolfie is a 1.5 year old red rough coat soon to be neutered male chow chow. He weighs approximately 60lbs/27.5kg but should gain a bit of weight as we can feel his bony ribs. This poor guy has had a horrendous life so far. Thankfully Animal Services stepped in and pulled him from a terribly abusive owner. Unfortunately his life was still at risk as he was deemed rescue only at the shelter. The staff reached out to us, sending videos of a goofy boy who sought out kindness and love. He managed to travelled from Quebec to Mississauga on an 11 hour transport in and out of vehicles with strangers 12 times! He is a big boy who has no problem letting you know when something is uncomfortable…but he also looks for affection and will push his whole body into your for contact. We are working on leash manners. He has NOT been dog reactive but we understand he does prefer females. Right now, Wolfie squints a lot due to painful eyes but is scheduled for entropion surgery to correct that. His profile will be updated regularly as we learn more about him.
