Dog Breed: Shepherd / Husky. Moodonna is a lovely, 4-year-old Shepherd/Cur mix weighing 50 to 55 pounds. She was found as a stray who had 7 puppies. Wow! A great mama dog, she would prefer to be the only animal in the family. Although considered a young girl of 4 years, Moodonna has wisdom in her eyes. Generally calm, she loves people and going for walks. Such sweetness! (Treated for Heartworm.) (posted 1/19/26, ME) " " Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
