BUTTERCUP has been waiting for a home way too long to be such a smooth and friendly and playful girl. She gets along with all of the dogs and plays nicely, she is obedient and easy to train. Right now she does not know any commands except "sit & off". The only exposure she has had with cats is the outdoor cats that pass by, she is curious about them but has no aggression towards them. BUTTERCUP is 2 years old and weighs 75 pounds and originally was picked up from the streets of San Antonio, TX and ended up in our very high-kill shelter. We rescued her from a sure death because as you know her breed is considered a bully breed. A bully she is NOT, just a playful 2 year old who wants to have fun and enjoys walking. Thank you. .roxysk9rescue ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls. Overview:
The Rottweiler is a powerful and intelligent breed, originating in Germany where they were primarily used to drive cattle and guard property. Physically, they are robust dogs, instantly recognizable by their medium-large size, strong build, and striking black coat with distinct tan markings, particularly on the muzzle, chest, and legs. Their temperament, when properly socialized and trained, is one of unwavering loyalty and confidence; they are known for being calm and courageous, making them excellent guardians. While generally good with children within their own family, their protective instincts mean they require supervision with strangers. Due to their size and need for regular exercise and mental stimulation, Rottweilers are generally not ideal for apartment living and thrive in homes with secure yards. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions, necessitating responsible breeding practices and regular veterinary check-ups.
