Dog Breed: Jack Russell Terrier. Adoption Fee: $200. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. NOTE- RADAR IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Radar is a 12-year-old Jack Russell ready for his next adventure! He was recently surrendered into our care due to circumstances far beyond his control. In an ideal situation, he would be adopted out with his daughter and best friend, Little Ann, but may do well in a home where he gets lots of love and attention. He is a very brave little dog who loves to bark at wildlife- he's your own personal animal control! He would do well on a leash or with a fenced-in yard and would need to receive frequent potty breaks with his little-dog bladder! Their coats can be smooth, broken, or rough, predominantly white with black, tan, or tricolor markings. Known for their spirited and confident temperament, Jack Russells are highly intelligent but can also be quite stubborn, requiring consistent training and ample mental stimulation. While devoted to their families, their high energy levels and strong prey drive make them better suited for active households with secure outdoor spaces rather than small apartments. They can thrive with children if properly socialized, though supervision is always advised due to their boisterous play. Generally healthy, they can be prone to certain genetic conditions such as patellar luxation, Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, and some eye disorders, making responsible breeding crucial.
