Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Husky / Mixed. Meet Montana, a 2-year-old, 65-pound Shepherd mix who has been waiting 128 days for his forever home. Now a Diamond Dog, his adoption fee is just $75. Montana came to us with a severe neck injury from an overly tight collar, but he has healed well and continues to gain confidence. He is gentle, walks well on leash, and would do best with a patient family willing to provide structure and encouragement. Montana needs a cat-free home, and a meet and greet is required with resident dogs. He is heartworm positive, but his treatment is sponsored by Rockwall PAWS. He is also neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Montana is currently in a foster home, and an approved online adoption application is required for meet and greets and adoption. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
