Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Meet Diego! Diego is a handsome 3 year old Pit Bull mix weighing approximately 60 pounds who has been patiently waiting for the forever family he deserves. As of 08/14/26, Diego is officially a Diamond Dog, which means his adoption fee has been reduced to $75 to help this deserving boy find his home. Diego is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves cuddling with the people he trusts. He can be cautious around some men and will benefit from slow introductions and a patient family willing to give him the time and space he needs to build confidence. Diego is also still discovering how to play with toys, suggesting he may not have had many opportunities in his past to simply relax and enjoy being a dog. He is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can be the only pet and would do best with children 16 years of age or older. With patience, consistency, and love, Diego has the potential to become an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. Diego is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination and basic boosters, and heartworm negative. As a Diamond Dog, his reduced adoption fee is $75. An approved online adoption application is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet or moving forward with adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term.
