Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Meet Sueboo! Sueboo is a sweet 1-year-old female Pit Bull mix who is ready to find a loving forever home. She was originally found near the Mission Apartments on Yellow Jacket in Rockwall on 05/15/26 and, after not being reclaimed, is now available for adoption. Sueboo is a happy girl with a loving personality who would thrive in a quieter, adult-only home where she can feel comfortable and secure. She has done well in social settings with other dogs, though staff is still learning how she may do living in a home with other animals long-term. She is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and enjoys spending time with her people. Sueboo would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate dog to share life with. Her adoption fee is $125, which includes her spay, microchip, annual core vaccinations, and heartworm test (negative). IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
