After being abandoned by her owner, Gracie found herself in an overcrowded Texas shelter, confused and waiting for someone to come back for her. Animal Control called again and again, and each time they were promised, “Tomorrow.” ...But tomorrow never came. Despite being let down by the people she trusted most, Gracie hasn’t lost her sweet spirit. This lovable girl has a gentle, affectionate personality and is happiest soaking up love from her humans. She’s good with other dogs and likes to romp around and play with them, though she’d also be perfectly content being your one-and-only spoiled princess. One thing she does know for sure? Cats are not her thing. Gracie is a little on the chunky side right now and could use a family committed to helping her shed a few pounds and get back to her healthiest self. A few walks, some treats in moderation, and lots of encouragement will go a long way for this deserving girl.
