Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Goose (f/k/a Lenny) was our second medical case from our shelter pull, and this sweet Chocolate Lab has been doing amazing at VERGI! We are tackling each of his medical issues in order of importance, and thankfully he is on the right track and ready to be discharged. Despite everything he’s been through, Goose is exactly what you’d expect from a Lab — happy-go-lucky, loving, goofy, and just an all around chill guy. We truly cannot understand how this handsome chunk sat in the shelter for so long unnoticed, but we are so grateful we realized something was wrong and were able to rush him to the emergency vet when we did. The good news? Lenny is now looking for a foster home! When you foster with us, we cover all medical expenses and can provide you with anything you need. You simply provide a safe and loving place for him to rest, recover, and be loved. We can even help with transport to vet appointments if needed!
