Ruby (fka Sarah) - American Staffordshire Terrier-Unknown Mix Female Dog For Adoption in Brewster, New York, USA

Dog Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed.

*Name: Ruby *Age: 3.5 years old *Current Weight: 74lbs *Rescued from: Louisiana *Adoption fee: $475 Meet Ruby! For the last three years, Ruby has been a beloved member of a family. When unexpected changes in her adopter's circumstances made it impossible for them to keep her, they made the difficult decision to return Ruby to SNARR so she could find another loving home. During those three years, Ruby shared her home with a growing toddler, where she showed just how patient, gentle, and loving she is. Ruby loves being with her people. She wants to be the center of your world—and in return, she'll shower you with affection. Whether she's curled up on the couch for snuggles or enjoying playtime, Ruby has the perfect balance of being playful without being high energy. And when it's time to play, she's all in! Ruby loves a good game of tug-of-war with durable toys and isn't afraid to horse around with her favorite people. She's also a great walking or running buddy, as long as you don't mind the occasional grass-snacking pit stop along the way. At home, Ruby fully embraces her inner couch hippo. Once she finds the perfect cozy spot, good luck convincing her to move without some serious persuasion. And if you happen to get up? Congratulations—your seat now belongs to Ruby. No exceptions. Ruby has been working on her manners around food and is learning patience while she waits for her meals. She also gets along well with other dogs but is just as happy soaking up all of your love and attention. Ruby originally came to SNARR as a puppy after being rescued in Louisiana alongside her mom, Fiona, and her littermates. She was quickly adopted into a loving home, where she spent the next three years as a cherished member of the family. After spending the last three years with one family, Ruby is understandably a little confused by all the recent changes in her life. What hasn't changed is how much she enjoys being with her people, and we're looking forward to seeing her settle back into the family life she loves. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will keep you laughing with her goofy personality, happily join you for adventures, and then claim the best spot on the couch afterward, Ruby may be the perfect addition to your family.
