Benny may be a Chihuahua/Heeler mix, about 22 lbs. Originally came to us as a stray never reclaimed and then adopted but came back today. He simply does NOT LIKE MEN! His adopter tried with her Dad and it simply did not work after nine-months of trying. AND, he exhibits a LOT of traits of a Cattle Dog (Heeler) as goes after adult and human feet and lower legs nipping at them - especially when going in and out of doorways. So no young children as they might not understand that. He did fine with one cat in the house but not the other so best to just say no to cats. Benny will also perhaps do better in a home with another dog. He is a very active boy and having another dog to play with might help his person a lot. He does great with dogs of all sizes and both sexes! Not here in our Shelter but in a foster home and doing great there. DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).
