Dog Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. JT was returned to the rescue after being adopted as a baby. At 9 months he was given back to DBU when the resident dog started to attack him. He is good with older children and selective with dogs due to his past - preferably would do best with a female! Is active and playful - like any young boy, and likes to talk when he is excited! He is now almost 2 and half years old and overlooked every time - will you choose JT? Applicants must be over the age of 25 and a homeowner. Renters who have landlord permission and stable track record are also accepted on a case-by-case basis. Meets between current dogs and prospective puppies would occur in Southern New Jersey. Young puppies are prefered to go to homes with another dog for socialization purposes (determined on a case by case basis). The application process includes a deed check, vet check and a virtual home inspection. Adopting is an incredibly rewarding, challenging, exciting experience and lifelong commitment.
