Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Adoption Fee: $300. Hi! I'm a fun and cuddly 2 year old girl looking for my furever home, could it be you? I love to play, I play with 9 other fosters now. I am house and crate trained. I use a doggy door. I would be a great running, hiking, activity partner. I'm working on my commands, but I listen great with my correction collar - just a beep or a buzz, and I'm all there! Ta da! I love to cuddle too. I am a great cuddler. I'm so cute, I even have a paw print on my back! I also need a special forever person. I have had a hard life and I have this quirk: sometimes, when I'm woken up, I get really really frightened! I need someone who can recognize this, be gentle and patient with me. Is that you? I hope I can meet you, show you how excited I am to meet you and know you are looking at me - give you lots of love and kisses! Won't you be mine? Apply at bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
