Description
Dog Breed: Beagle / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Ollie is a sweet older gentleman that lost his home through no fault of his own. He is a very mellow, sweet boy that could be your perfect companion! We think he is some sort of Beagle/Chihuahua mix, and he is around 9 years old. He is well-mannered on leash, does very well in the car, and would be okay with another mellow, small dog in the home…or even a cat! As he lived with both previously. Ollie is a somber guy, but peps up a lot with his friends, always happy to greet them. This kiddo just wants a quiet place, with loving people, to spend the rest of his Golden Years.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Cheagle is an endearing hybrid, resulting from a cross between a Beagle and a Chihuahua, offering a unique blend of both parent breeds. Originating from designer breed initiatives, Cheagles typically inherit the smaller stature of the Chihuahua with the slightly more robust build of the Beagle. Their physical appearance is quite variable, ranging from short to medium coats, often in colors like black, tan, white, or tricolor, and their ears can be erect or floppy. Temperament-wise, they are generally described as affectionate, playful, and often energetic, making them suitable companions for families or individuals. Their adaptable size makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive regular exercise and mental stimulation. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include those common to their parent breeds, such as patellar luxation, dental issues, and intervertebral disc disease, making responsible breeding and veterinary care essential for a long and happy life.
