Meet Trixi! This sweet girl is roughly a year old and came from a shelter in California. Trixi was part of an animal cruelty case where she was found chained to the bottom of a kennel and severely malnourished. Despite her past traumas, Trixi remains full of love and life! She is extremely affectionate once she is comfortable with you. She can be a little shy at first but warms up very quickly. Trixi's abuse came from a male, so she takes a longer time to warm up to them but with consistency and patience she does well. Trixi is crate trained, knows her basic commands, is house broken, and loves to play with other dogs. She can be overexcited to play, so proper intros are important. Trixi would be described as having a higher prey drive but a medium drive overall.
