Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Beatrice, a sweet, happy girl who's just as content exploring the world as she is soaking up affection from her favorite people! Beatrice was found at an adoption event on Needvilleâs Main Street that we attended. She was wearing a collar, but she had no owner information on her and no one ever came looking for her. Now sheâs hoping her next collar will come from her forever family. Beatrice already knows how to sit on command and always takes treats gently from your hand. She's got a fun, playful side too - while toys don't always hold her attention for long, toss one across the yard and she'll often break into joyful zoomies! She also loves rolling around in the grass, making the most of her outdoor time. When playtime is over Beatrice is more than happy to sit right beside you and enjoy as many pets as you're willing to give. She's friendly and affectionate without being overly demanding, and she's perfectly comfortable entertaining herself if youâre busy. With her medium energy level, she's just as ready for a relaxing afternoon as she is for a playful adventure.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
