Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Adoption Fee: $350. It may be hot outside, but Suki is giving us Christmas vibes. She's the dog version of Buddy the Elf—full of boundless enthusiasm for life and an unmatched love for every person she meets. Even after being let down by people before her rescue, she greets everyone with a wagging tail and an open heart. Suki is the perfect match for a family looking for a companion who can jump right into everyday life without the puppy chaos. Whether she's joining you on an adventure or curling up with you while you relax, Suki is happiest just being with her people. Her name means "beloved," and she lives up to it. Everyone who meets Suki falls in love with her, and she happily returns the favor. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and one of her favorite daily jobs is waking up her human foster brother with enthusiastic tail wags and face kisses. Suki's stats: 2-year-old mixed breed 52 pounds Potty trained Crate trained Heartworm negative Up to date on vaccines Spayed Kid friendly Dog friendly Gorgeous brindle coat—kind of like having your own tiger, but without the danger. LIC # 9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at .pack9rescue. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
