Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. 2-year-old Dober-girl, Jessie was sitting in a shelter, waiting for the grim reaper to call her number. That day was only days away. Thankfully, United Doberman Rescue (UDR) stepped in, tagged her for safety in our rescue, and gave her the second chance she so desperately deserved. Jessie was welcomed into an amazing, loving foster home where she has received all of the veterinary care she should have had long ago. Spayed, vaccinated, heartworm checked and chipped. Now, she's almost ready to begin the next chapter of her life—with a family of her own. Jessie is truly a gentle, sweet Doberman whose only wish is to love and be loved. She does wonderfully with other dogs and has enjoyed being part of her foster family. Whether she's spending time with her canine companions or soaking up affection from her people, Jessie is simply happiest being included and loved. We will never understand how a Doberman with such a wonderful temperament ended up in an overcrowded shelter where healthy, loving dogs lose their lives simply because there wasn't enough space. Those days are behind her now. Jessie is safe, cherished, and now will be searching for the forever family she has always deserved. If you open your heart to Jessie, she promises to fill your home with unwavering loyalty, unconditional love, and the special devotion that only a Doberman can give. Every day, her gratitude will shine through in the way she looks at you, leans into you, and loves you with her whole heart. The lucky person who adopts Jessie won't just be saving a dog—they'll be gaining a best friend for years to come. Jessie's story is, unfortunately, the story of far too many Dobermans. But thanks to the angels who helped guide her to United Doberman Rescue, her story now has the chance for a happy ending. Could you be the one to give her that ending? If you think Jessie could be the missing piece of your family, visit .uniteddobermanrescue and complete an adoption application if you qualify. Jessie is no longer waiting for her life to end—she's waiting for someone to show her that her best days are still ahead. ❤️ United Doberman Rescue Adoption Process Application Submission: Complete the adoption application thoroughly. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
