NOVA - Mutt Female Dog For Adoption in Ocala, Florida, USA

Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed (medium coat).

Hi, I'm Nova! I'm a FIDO Project dog- FIDO stands for Florida Inmates & Dog Obedience. I live inside our local men's prison so they can help me learn a few things that might help me find a home. Each FIDO class gets their own theme- ours is called, `The Fanstastic Fur.` I came to the shelter as a stray in July with a few other dogs. We were all living outside in the dirt and sand. No fence, no rules, just living. I’m known as the easygoing mama dog of the group. I was pretty nervous when moving into the shelter and then the prison. My inmate trainer said he was concerned that I wouldn't settle in. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the men who help me. They made me feel really loved and I hope the person who takes me home will love me like they do. Since living with them, I've realized I am definitely a companion dog. I love being next to someone. I didn't know how much I was missing. My playstyle with other dogs is called gentle/dainty. I like them, but I don’t want to wrestle and grunt make all those noises. I prefer to act like a lady. If you think you may want to adopt me, please visit marionfl/fido and submit a no-obligation adoption application. Someone from my FIDO team will reach out to you soon!
