Weighing in at about 18 pounds, she's the perfect size for cuddling on the couch, riding along on errands, or simply keeping you company wherever you go. This sweet girl has an easygoing personality and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats. She enjoys a peaceful home where she can relax with her family and soak up all the attention she deserves. Emmy Lou is crate trained and settles in nicely when needed. Like many senior dogs, Emmy Lou does need a few extra potty breaks throughout the day. She does best with a family that can let her outside more frequently than the average dog. Emmy Lou has Cushing's disease, a common hormonal condition in older dogs caused by the body producing too much cortisol. The good news is that Emmy Lou's condition is well managed with daily medication, allowing her to live a happy, comfortable life. She'll simply need her medication and routine veterinary checkups to keep her feeling her best.
