Any medical conditions: No Neutered: yes Chip: no Temperament: very friendly, no signs of agression. Was timid at first as he was abused and abandoned, has finally learned what love is and is happy go lucky! Enjoys: outdoors, playing with other dogs, playing with people now! He is very curious about everything. He catches treats like a pro! He can leap and jump like a circus dog truly from excitement of people coming home now and it is adorable Potty trained?: working on it but he is almost there! Coat: very nice brown with maybe even orange hints, it’s beautiful and velvety Eyes: brown Get along with dogs? Yes Good with cats? No Good with kids? Unknown How long have you had the pet for? 5 months Reason for rehoming? I work on boats as a stewardess and travel for months on the boat at a time across other countries. I took him in while I had downtime, however, my season is about to pick up again. I have given him my all and provided him all that I can, but it was never meant to be a permanent solution unfortunately. My hands were tied when I saw him and was informed by a neighbor that he was abandoned and abused. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
