Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. MEET GIGI! Gigi is a beautiful 2-year-old female Cane Corso with a happy, easygoing personality and a serious love for water! This girl is a total water baby — sprinklers, pools, bath time… if there’s water involved, Gigi is ready to have some fun! Gigi came to us alongside China after the two girls were removed from their owner due to neglect. After everything they have been through, these girls are simply starving for love, attention, and a family to finally call their own. While Gigi and China arrived together, Gigi absolutely shines on her own and has a wonderful personality all her own. She is great on a leash, dog friendly, and loves people. She has that wonderful happy-go-lucky attitude that makes her such an enjoyable dog to be around. Gigi deserves to know what it feels like to be cherished, included, and truly part of a family. ❤️ If your idea of a perfect companion includes walks, playtime, plenty of affection, and maybe a kiddie pool in the backyard, Gigi could be your girl! Gigi is ready for her forever home! Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
