Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Finita is a wild child! She is full of energy, life, craziness and spunk! She is quite athletic and can jump over short fences, so she would love a tall privacy fence, probably another dog to ruff house with, and a family ready to teach her some house manners. She's very loveable, quite eager to learn, and is looking forward to a great family to call her own. Finita was brought to MPR from a situation where 3 mom dogs made 23 puppies. MPR got 13 of the puppies and the mama dogs are spayed and won't be having more! Finita was born on March 11, 2026, and weighs 26 lbs in the middle of July. Her siblings are Gogo, Chex, Salty, Schuster, Tobin, Miaa, Remy, Fritter, Folki, Higgins, and Franklin. Finita is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, started on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $350. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
