We don’t always know their back stories but between the mail carrier and the neighbor we pieced her heartbreaking story together. She was abandoned about 6 months ago after her owners were evicted due to animal cruelty. SPCA confiscated all the animals on the property except one. Unfortunately, they were unable to catch her. They tried traps and tried darting her with a tranquilizer but they lost track of her before she went down. We aren’t sure how she injured her back paw but her injury turned out to be her saving grace. It got her noticed and she became urgent over the hundreds of other strays in the area."
