Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Meet Casper! Casper is a sweet, around 6-year-old, 60 lb Shepher Mix who is more than ready to leave the shelter and finally have a home to call his own. Why Casper is so special: Very affectionate - Will let you pet him forever Playful Settles quickly Potty trained Well-behaved at home Vocal in a fun, endearing way when he plays Extremely intelligent and a quick learner Listens to commands Good with baths Polite on car rides Loves relaxing and hanging out with his person He does best with patient, slow introductions and can enjoy one on one playdates with another dog Shares his toys and even his food bowl Currently in training to improve his life at the shelter and in his new home Casper is ready for a forever home. He constantly proves what a smart, loving, and wonderful dog he is. Casper is affectionate, playful, and loves nothing more than sitting and relaxing with his person. He plays well with other dogs, listens to commands, learns quickly, and settles down nicely once heâs comfortable. Heâs also great with baths, and is polite during car rides. Heâs a little vocalâbut in the cutest, good kind of way! We really believe Casperâs missing piece is stability and a person he can rely on. He needs a permanent home where he can have consistent access to his human, feel loved, and know that he is finally safe and home. He is intelligent, eager to learn, and ready to build a bond with someone who will give him the consistency and affection he deserves. The shelter environment is hard on him, and he is not a fan of spending his days in a kennel. Casper doesnât need more time in a shelterâhe needs a family.
