Name: Flynn Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and retriever mix Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of 10/1/26 SEX: Male Estimated Weight (still has some growing to do!): 27 lbs as of 9/21/26 Gets Along With: Other dogs! He lives in a foster home with kids. We haven't seen him with cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Flynn is Looking For: Hi! The three of us - Fay, Flynn, and Frankie - have loved growing up together in our puppy pile in balmy Puerto Rico but now we're ready to split up and get our forever homes in the DC area! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. And to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do I get to go home with you? What My Foster Says About Me: Flynn is happily settling into his foster home. He gets along well with the other dogs, and has started to play "run/chase" in the backyard with his foster's husky. Flynn eagerly seeks out the company of humans, and his favorite activity is to curl up on a huge poofy dog bed next to a person. He also enjoys stuffed toys and is beginning to get the idea about chasing balls. Flynn is doing very well with house training, and he sleeps quietly through the night in his crate. He is not crazy about being crated during the day, but will settle after a few minutes. Flynn is a loving, gentle, slightly shy guy ISO of people who will shower him with affection and comfy places to sleep. Could this be you? Your new dog will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
