Name: Mia Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and hound mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of July 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 35 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Mia would do best in a home without cats. Special adoption considerations: In certain home settings -- where the environment might be loud or more intense -- Mia would do better with another dog in the home to give her confidence. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Check out this video of Mia: youtube/shorts/BVN9-RqRF5o. Mia is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie wants nothing more than to have her own humans for sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures they can dream up - and for snuggles after a fun day together. Making pup pals along the way would be great too. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are on her wish list as well but what she wants most of all is to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved. What do you say? Does Mia have a spot in your home and your heart? What My Foster Says About Me: "Mia is a very sweet and quirky pup. Despite being a little shy, she warms up to people quickly and wants to give everyone the cutest air kisses. She does great in her crate and sleeps well through the night. She loves to cuddle up next to me and actually watches TV. She walks well on her leash, but gets a little scared at loud, unexpected sounds. She asks to be let out when needed and hasn’t had any accidents in the house. She is gaining confidence quickly and is a joy to have around." Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
