Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300. Meet Maicena (brown/white) and Coco Rayado (black/white). 3-month-old collie/heeler mix female puppies, weighing 23lbs. Maicena loves to cuddle and get loves. She's shy and working on becoming a stronger independent woman. She's also obsessed with the strategy of catching the toy at the end of the flirt pole, and attacking her sister of course. Coco on the other hand is very outgoing and loves water. She hasn't been dry since we got her. She enjoys her pool time, chasing Maicena, and pulling grass out of our yard. But she's too cute to get mad at. They are both crate trained, sleep through the night, and are working on potty training. And they can sometimes sit to ask for loves - WIP. Apply to meet them, they're fun!! bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
