Description
Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees (medium coat). Meet Fig! She is a 3 month old, 25lb, Great Pyrenees puppy with a world of sweetness packed into her fluffy frame! We believe she is a Great Pyrenees / Shepherd mix. Expect her to weigh around 80lbs full grown. Fig and her siblings were found as strays and ended up at a shelter, then SPIN Rescue came along and picked them all up. Fig is the diva of her siblings, she has lots of personality. Fig is goofy, curious, playful and absolutely adores snuggling up after a good play session. She is a big fan of toys. She loves people, especially kids. There are lots of kids in her foster home that hold her and play with her. She would do well with babies and seniors. Figgy is great with dogs of all sizes. She doesn't go after the rabbits and chickens at her foster home, so we believe she would do well with cats. She has a gentle nature. Not much of a barker. She is calm during the hot days but her energy picks up once it cools off. She is nearly house trained, and working on her leash manners. She does love car rides. Fig is ready to find a forever home where she can share her puppy kisses, happy zooms, and loving heart with her family every day. Fig is spayed and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $300. She is currently in a foster home in Dallas / Ft Worth area of Texas. We do adopt out of state but adopters are responsible for arranging their own transpiration. Fig must go to a home with another dog to play and teach manners. Apply to meet and adopt Fig at .spinrescue

Breed overview
Great Pyrenees
A.K.A.: Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Patou, Chien de Montagne des Pyrénées, Pyrenean, Big White Dog, Bear Dog, Gentle Giant, Great Pyr, Pyr
Overview:
The Great Pyrenees is a majestic and ancient breed, originating in the Pyrenean mountains between France and Spain, where they served as formidable livestock guardians. Physically, they are large, powerful dogs, easily recognized by their thick, double coat, typically white (though sometimes marked with badger, grey, or tan), and a distinctive "double dewclaw" on their hind legs. Despite their imposing size, their temperament is generally calm, gentle, and remarkably patient, making them excellent companions. They possess a natural protectiveness, which translates to a watchful eye over their families and property. While loving and tolerant with children, their size and barking tendencies make them less suited for small apartment living; a home with a yard is ideal. Prospective owners should be aware of common health concerns such as hip and elbow dysplasia, patellar luxation, and certain eye conditions, emphasizing the importance of responsible breeding. Their independent nature also means they require consistent, positive reinforcement training.
