Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Bean! This gem of a dog is Bean, a lovable, goofy little guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Bean was rescued after being found running as a stray and taken in by a Good Samaritan until rescue could be found. He was heartworm-positive when he came to us, so he likely spent much of his life as an outside dog. Thankfully, he found his way to rescue and is now discovering just how great being a loved, inside dog can be. Bean is currently being fostered by Julia, where he lives with two dogs and a cat. He easliy acclimtated to his new pack; he loves playing with his pup sister Willow and is respectful to the kitty. He's also perfectly happy doing his own thing and could thrive either with another dog or as an only dog, as long as he gets plenty of attention and playtime. Julia describes Bean as an absolute sweetheart. He's affectionate, happy, playful, and curious without being overbearing. He starts his mornings with plenty of energy, zooming around the house and even doing a little parkour off the furniture. Once he's gotten that out of his system, he settles into a more moderate energy level and is happy to cuddle with his people. Bean is potty trained, crate trained, knows how to use a dog door, and is a great car rider. He's also good on leash. Bean can be a little cautious when meeting new people and may initially bark or give a nervous growl when he's unsure. It's not aggression; he simply needs a minute to figure out that someone is a friend. Once he does, he warms up quickly and is happy to accept pets and attention. Julia shares that Bean is such a joy to foster. He's a loving, playful, goofy little guy who is going to make a wonderful companion and famliy dog. Good with dogs, cats, and kids.... Apply today!
