Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Location: Littlestown, PA Meet Cooper—Super Duper Cooper, to be exact. This boy is a big, friendly goofball. He is under a year old, weighs 45 lbs, and is current on all vaccines, preventatives, and is neutered. If you are looking for a new family member who loves people, other playful dogs, and life in general, he is your guy. So far, he has been the perfect house guest. Cooper is potty trained with a dog door and crates well. He is currently living as a farm hand and knows his job well. He does not eat the chickens or chase the cats, cows, or horses. Cooper is on the larger side and still has room to fill out his big feet. He is still very puppy-like and will occasionally chew or eat inappropriate items, but he is easily corrected with a reminder. Please Contact: kimberlylind13gmail. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
