Name: Phelps Best Guess for Breed: Lab and beagle mix Best Guess for Age: 8 months as of August 2026 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 25 lbs as of 8/2/26 - he is still growing! Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Rural shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Phelps is Looking For: Hi! I'm looking for a home where I get to go on lots of adventures with my new humans - long sniffy walks, romps in parks, world exploration! I want to make pup pals along the way! And I'd like to go to dog school too, so I can show how super smart I am. But most of all I want to always be safe and loved, to know where I belong. I have so much love and loyalty to give.
