Dog Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Mountain Cur / Mixed.

Professor Asher: Tenured in the Art of Good Manners Meet Asher, a 3-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Feist mix weighing 33 lbs who appears to have arrived at the shelter with several advanced degrees in Being a Very Good Boy. While he’s still settling in, Professor Asher has been nothing but calm, quiet, and remarkably easy-going. He generally prefers observing the commotion from the faculty lounge, though every now and then he’ll cancel office hours for a spirited game of chase with his canine colleagues. Asher is: ✨ Calm, docile, and wonderfully easy-going ✨ Friendly with his fellow canine scholars ✨ Occasionally persuaded to join a game of chase ✨ A distinguished gentleman with impeccable manners ✨ Heartworm positive with treatment costs sponsored by MAARC ✨ Looking for a quiet place to continue his important research (napping) Asher may still be writing his thesis on shelter life, but we think he’s ready to begin his greatest study yet: the lifelong benefits of having a family.
