Description
Dog Breed: Rottweiler / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Meet Orchid! Orchid is an adorable 11 week old female Rottweiler/Lab mix weighing approximately 16 pounds who is now ready to find her forever home. Orchid was found with her six siblings off Klutts Road in Rockwall County by the Rockwall County Sheriff's Office on August 16, 2026. After completing her required stray hold and not being reclaimed, Orchid is now available for adoption. Like all young puppies, Orchid will need a family prepared for the time, patience, and commitment that comes with raising a puppy. Her new home should be ready to continue working on potty training, leash training, basic manners, socialization, and establishing a consistent daily routine. Puppies require frequent supervision, regular veterinary care, plenty of appropriate activity and enrichment, and a family willing to guide them as they grow into adult dogs. Orchid's adoption fee is $125 and includes her spay, rabies vaccination, microchip, first set of puppy vaccines, and first dewormer. Her spay appointment is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2026. This appointment date is nonnegotiable, and her adopter will be required to return her for her scheduled surgery. Interested adopters must complete an online adoption application at rockwalladoptions/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved online applicants only and will be arranged in the order in which completed applications are received. Orchid is waiting for a family ready to make the lifelong commitment that every puppy deserves. All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
