Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (medium coat). Meet Shania, a sweet Cattle Dog with a big appreciation for affection and a very soft spot for belly rubs! She may come across as a little shy at first, but the second you start petting her and she flops over for belly rubs, youâll know that Shania is full of love and sweetness. This girl is happiest hanging close to you, and soaking up all of the attention she can get. Give her some pets and sheâll happily stay by your side for as long as youâll keep them coming. Shania takes treats gently from your hand and loves being doted on. She isnât interested in toys, but she doesnât need them to be happy. Sheâs perfectly content spending time with you, or quietly doing her own thing nearby. She may take a little encouragement when itâs time to walk on leash, especially in a busy environment, but sheâs getting better and better at it everyday. She has a gentle, loving personality and seems like sheâd be perfectly happy being someoneâs devoted companion.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
