Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed. Adoption Fee: $400. NCQ My adoption fee is $400 (card $418) which includes: 1st 2 distemper vaccines (adopter covers 3rd & 4th) Rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age at Shoreline Vet Hospital ($25 office fee will be charged for establishing care) Microchip Spay/Neuter (will be completed before animal can go home). My foster parents say I’m the bravest little boy they’ve ever met! I LOVE cuddles, being with my humans, and hearing that I’m the best boy ever—especially when treats are involved! I love playing and chasing my foster siblings and would enjoy having canine friends to play with I have lots of energy and love zooming around with my favorite toys My hound side is starting to show, including the sweetest little howl when I’m feeling unsure. Once I know I’m safe, I’m right back to my happy, playful self! My favorite hiding spot? UNDER THE BED! Treats, toys...if they're important, that's probably where I'm taking them. Honestly, I’d live under there if you let me! No cats for Bandit. His interest in them is more than playful, so a cat-free home will be the best and safest fit. ✨ Bandit is looking for a family who will give him plenty of playtime, lots of cuddles, and maybe his very own cozy hiding spot!

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
