Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Mixed (short coat). LOOKING FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME WE GOT TRIXIE OUT OF THE DOG POUND SO SHE COULD GET TREATED FOR HER HEARTWORM, BUT STILL LOOKING FOR A FOSTER HOME OR FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME! Hi my name is Trixie. This is a new name to me because I was found as a stray and no one came to claim me. I just don't understand why! I was a good girl! Now they are saying I have heartworm. Don't know what that means, but my foster mom says not to worry, the rescue will get me treated and back into good health. I am around 6 years old and weigh in at about 40lbs, so not too big. I do like to be with my person and follow my foster mom around the house, but once she is sitting, I am more than ready to relax. I am good with other dogs, but we do not know about cats. No small children please. Since I am new to the rescue, my foster mom and I are just starting to get to know each other, but I am being a good girl. She gave me a bath and trimmed my nails. Will start heartworm treatment soon. Will be spayed as soon as I am through the treatment. I can certainly come stay with you through my treatment if you want. I think I would like that.
