Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Butter! This adorable pittie girl is such a fun and sweet pup. She likes to investigate everything the world has to offer. Rope balls and crinkle toys are her favorite. Her default is to sit while pawing at you wanting attention. A good lap or a soft fuzzy blanket makes the perfect sleeping spot. She would love another dog to play with, but would also do okay on her own. She is still a young pup and will need a family to support her as she grows into a happy and confident dog. Olive has received her first round of puppy vaccinations and is microchipped. She will be spayed when she is a bit older (between 8-12 months) as part of her adoption agreement - this is not optional. Her adoption fee is $525. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
