Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Husky / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 350. Keira is a 2 year old, Husky/Labrador Retriever mix. She is looking for a fun, active home! She is always up to play with her pals, chew her toys, or go for a hike! Keira gets along with all dogs and needs a doggy brother or sister to wrestle with in her next home. Keira is friendly with all people, but she is pretty independent and not a cuddler. What she lacks in affection, she makes up for in goofiness. She tries to play with people but she doesn't know how so she ends up playing tag with you. Keira is approx 45lbs. She is a good girl on leash and in the car. She is also housebroken and crate trained. She does have a strong prey drive and likes to chase lizards or any small creatures she can find so a home without cats is a must. If you're interested in meeting Keira, submit an adoption application on our website at .dominoeffectanimalrescue

Breed overview
Overview:
The Labsky, a charming crossbreed of the Labrador Retriever and the Siberian Husky, originated from the desire to combine the best traits of its beloved parent breeds. Physically, they are medium to large dogs, often exhibiting a fascinating blend of features; expect a robust build, varying coat colors and textures (from sleek black to fluffy merle), and captivating eye colors, sometimes even heterochromia. Temperamentally, Labskies are known for being intelligent, energetic, and loyal. They thrive on human companionship and require significant mental and physical stimulation to prevent boredom, making them best suited for active families or individuals with a large, securely fenced yard. Due to their energy levels and potential for vocalization, they are generally not ideal for apartment living. While typically healthy, they can inherit predispositions to conditions seen in their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain skin allergies, so responsible breeding and regular vet check-ups are crucial.
