I came to DDR as I was a stray and needed a place to go that could give me some medical attention. I looooove children, I love them so much I try to dash out the door to get to whereever they are or where they are going. For that reason I do require a physically fenced yard so I stay safe and don't become a stray again. I am very very fast going where I want to go so if a door is open I will be gone. I am very good with men also, I can be a bit leary of women so I must have had a bad experience with a woman in the past. I love sleeping on top of the couch or on the couch under a blanket. I have learned the dachshunds in my foster home are "OK" and they bark at everything so I can too when I want to ;) Can you be my furever home? I am guestimated to be 5 or 6 years old, I weigh 7 pounds, my adoption fee is $325 plus sales tax $14,63=$339.63 My adoption fee help with my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay, dental with lots of extractions and microchipping.

Overview:
The Chihuahua, a captivating breed known for its diminutive size, boasts an ancient and somewhat mysterious origin, with most theories pointing to Mexico as its birthplace, potentially descending from the "Techichi," a small companion dog of the Toltec civilization. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
